These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Luna Cycle Android application and any associated cloud sync service provided by Stoatworks ("we", "us"). By installing or using Luna Cycle, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
Luna Cycle is a menstrual cycle tracking app for Android. It stores data you enter on your own device and, at your option, syncs that data to a cloud backend (Google Cloud Firestore) under an account you create. The app is provided free of charge, without ads.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old to use Luna Cycle. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the app.
3. Your account
- Creating an account is optional. You can use the app without one.
- You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@stoatworks.dev if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One account per person. Do not impersonate others or provide false information.
4. Your content
All cycle data, logs, notes, and custom tags you enter ("Your Content") remain yours. We do not claim any ownership over Your Content. For synced data, you grant us a strictly limited license to store and transmit that content for the sole purpose of providing the sync service to you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the app except to the extent such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the sync infrastructure, or attempt to access another user's data;
- Use the app to store or transmit unlawful content;
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
6. Not medical advice
Luna Cycle is a tracking tool, not a medical device. Cycle predictions, ovulation estimates, and fertile-window displays are calendar-based calculations only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not rely on the app for contraception, fertility planning, or the diagnosis of any condition. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
7. Availability and changes
We may update the app, change features, or modify the cloud sync service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve existing user data across updates, including providing export paths before removing any sync feature. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. You may delete your account and remote data from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, after reasonable notice where the breach is curable.
9. Disclaimers
The app and sync service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that predictions, reminders, or any calculated output are accurate or reliable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stoatworks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, data, or goodwill, resulting from your use of the app or service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Stoatworks is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, surface an in-app notice for users with sync enabled. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
